Following are the steps to copy and paste metric data points from a spreadsheet into a Metric in NorthStar:

  1. Your spreadsheet should have two columns.  The first column would be the date the data point was measured on.  The second column is the metric data point value on that respective date.
  2. Ensure your date is formatted as a three character abbreviated month, day, followed by a four-digit year.  For example Mar 1, 2018
  3. Select the rows with your metric data points in the spreadsheet and copy.
  4. Click on the "New Date" cell in the empty row of your Metric in NorthStar and use the keyboard shortcuts to paste: CMD + V on Mac or CTRL + V in Windows/Linux.
